About The Program
SRM University Admission Scholarship for International Students 2021-22, an SRM Institute of Science and Technology initiative, is a scholarship opportunity for international students taking admission in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This opportunity is offered to academically high performers in all the related fields except in MBBS, BDS, BASLP, B. Pharm, Pharm D, and PhD courses. The selected candidates will get a scholarship of up to 50% tuition fee waiver.

To be eligible, an applicant must –
- Be a national of one of the following countries - Africa, Iraq, Iran, Myanmar, Brunei, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Vietnam, PNG, Malaysia & SAARC countries (Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan & Maldives)
- Have attempted SAT or SRMJEE to be accepted in SRM
- Be fluent in English and submit any English language proficiency test such as TOEFL, IELTS, BEC, etc.

Benefits
The scholarships will be given under different categories. For each category, the students stand a chance to get a scholarship of up to 50% tuition fee waiver depending on their academic scholarship bracket. Different categories of scholarships include –
- NRI/PIO/OCI - 35% tuition fee waiver based on SAT/SRMJEE score
- COVID Relief Scholarship for SAARC/FAR East Asia - 50% tuition fee waiver
- Economic Scholarship - 40% tuition fee waiver (for both UG and PG programs)
- Merit Scholarship - Up to 35% tuition fee waiver

- 10th and 12th/Bachelor/Master’s degree certificate along with marks sheet/transcript
- Letters of references
- Statement of purpose
Note: Both front and back sides of the mark sheet are to be copied and sent to get additional information about the grade equivalence, passing requirements, etc.
How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by following the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button below.
Step 2: Register on the official website with a valid email ID and password.
Step 3: Verify and confirm the registration message sent through SMS/E-mail.
Step 4: Once registered, fill up the application form with valid details.
Step 5: Upload all the necessary documents.
Step 6: Pay the application fee of USD 50 or INR 3.000 using a credit or debit card.
Step 7: Submit the application.
For offline mode, fill in the application details online. Download and courier it to SRM Institute of Science and Technology along with the fee of INR 3,000 by banker's draft (DD)/Non-Resident India cheque in the name of “SRMIST” payable at Chennai. DD/NRI cheque towards the application fee will be accepted only in INR.

- The merit scholarship will be renewed in subsequent years based on candidates performing well as per the standard set by the Scholarship Committee from time to time, which is final and binding.
- Marks scored in the language subjects will not be considered for the scholarship.
- If the Eligibility Committee seeks grade equivalence, in such cases the responsibility lies with the candidate to submit the grade equivalence signed by the authorized signatory from the concerned school. Based on the same scholarship will be approved.
- The merit scholarship is applicable only for the first year. In subsequent years, the renewal of scholarship is subject to consistent high performance as per the norms set by the university from time to time.
