About The Program

Southern Cross University invites applications for Southern Cross University PhD Scholarship in Redox in the Rhizosphere 2020 from PhD applicants. The scholarship aims to provide an opportunity to complete a PhD and conduct research in Redox in the Rhizosphere. Selected scholars will get a PhD scholarship of up to AUD 28,092 per year for 3 years duration.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Have an Honours or Master degree, undertaken in English, in a relevant field such as biogeochemistry, soil science, environmental chemistry, or environmental microbiology

Note- Candidates with experience of electrochemistry, analytical chemistry, plant trials and/or bacterial culturing will be given due preference.

Benefits

The selected scholars will receive a tax-free stipend of AUD 28,092 per annum (2020 rate) indexed annually for up to 3 years (with a possible 6-month extension subject to approval), including a tuition fee waiver for international students.

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on documents submitted by the applicants and their Skype/Zoom interview.

  • The successful candidates will need to fund their own travel to Australia to commence studies and they will be responsible for obtaining and paying for any visas and associated requirements (e.g. overseas student health cover).
  • Applications without relevant information or with statements longer than one page will not be considered.
  • International candidates are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
