About The Program

Sony World Photography Youth Award 2018 invites application from candidates of age between 12 to 19 years. The objective of this program is to help young photographers to grow and flourish into the next stages of their careers. This competition is looking for good composition, creativity, and clear photographs. The winners will win the flight tickets and accommodation to awards in London, Sony digital imaging equipment.

Awards will be given to the selected candidates:

  • Youth competition winner: 1
  • Shortlisted photographers: Up to 40
  • Commended photographers: Up to 40

  • The competition is free to enter.
  • No cash alternatives available for prize winners.
  • Winners will be announced online.
  • By entering the Competition You hereby accept these Competition Rules and the Terms and Conditions.
  • Images must be taken in 2017 and entries should be based on the categories outlined, information on which can be found on the website.
  • Images should be no smaller than 1mb and no larger than 5MB. Images should be JPEG files.
  • All images must be saved in the RGB color model.
  • All candidates must be able to supply a high-resolution image suitable for printing in exhibitions.
