About The Program

The Sony Music Group Global Scholars Program 2025–26 is an international initiative that supports talented students pursuing undergraduate degrees in music and the music business fields. The program aims to promote diversity and accessibility in the music industry by making top-tier education possible for aspiring professionals from underrepresented and financially disadvantaged backgrounds. Selected scholars will receive benefits of up to USD 20,000 per year.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be planning to enrol in a full-time undergraduate program in music or music business-related fields of study during the academic year of 2025-26
  • have scored a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • showcase financial need

Note:- Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Benefits

Selected scholars will receive:-

  • Various awards from USD 3,000 - 20,000 per academic year to help cover tuition and mandatory academic fees.
  • Opportunity to attend a Global Scholars Conference at the Sony Music headquarters.
  • Access to mentoring, networking, and professional development resources from SMG professionals.

The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years, or until degree completion, subject to eligibility.

  • Copy of high school transcript/grade report
  • Academic records (A-level, O-level, GCSE, or BTEC are accepted)

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1:

Step 3: Click on the application link click on ‘Apply Here’.
Step 4:  Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit the form.


Note:- Recommendation letters have a deadline later than the application itself.
