About The Program
SOF Girl Child Scholarship Scheme (G.C.S.S) 2024-25 is an opportunity provided by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF)* for female students studying in Class 1 to 10. The scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to students from economically disadvantaged families so they can continue their school education. A total of 300 female students will be awarded a one-time scholarship of ₹5,000 each.
*SOF is an educational organisation established to promote Science, Mathematics, Computer Education, English, Social Studies, General Knowledge and professional courses.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a female currently studying in Class 1 to 10 in a recognised school/institution
- have secured at least 60% marks or equivalent in the previous academic year
- have a monthly family income of less than ₹15,000
Note:- Marks criteria can be waived for physically disabled female students.
Benefits
300 selected girl children across India will receive ₹5,000 each annually.

How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the opportunity by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 3: The students are requested to contact the school to apply for the opportunity.
Note:- The schools will send a proposal recommending a female student for the scholarship. The duly signed recommendation by the Head Master/Head Mistress/Principal will be sent by the school to SOF at the below-mentioned address:
