About the Program

Singapore MIT Alliance for Research and Technology invites applications for SMART Singapore-MIT Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SMURF) 2020 from undergraduate students. The aim of this fellowship is to enable undergraduates from MIT, NTU, NUS and SUTD to spend up to eight contiguous weeks in Singapore participating in a research project at an MIT Faculty Member's Singapore laboratory. Selected students will have the opportunity to interact with students and faculty from diverse backgrounds.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, an applicant must:

    • Be an MIT, NTU, NUS and SUTD undergraduates
    • Have already, or would have successfully completed his/her first year

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on the eligibility criteria and documents submitted.

Terms and Conditions
  • A SMART researcher will be assigned to the candidate to mentor him throughout the attachment.
  • Attachment period in Singapore is from 01 June 2020 and 31 July 2020, inclusive. Orientation will be held on 01 June 2020.
  • The status of candidate’s application will be sent by email on or before 24 February 2020, Singapore time.
