The Minority Welfare Department of the Government of Karnataka invites applications for free training from students belonging to Minority Communities i.e. Muslim, Christian, Jain, Sikh, Buddhist and Parsi and who are interested in Skill Training under various sectors and courses. This is an initiative to empower the minority class of the state.

    Eligibility

    This scholarship is eligible for the following:

    • The candidate should belong to a minority community.
    • The age of the candidate should be between 18 and 35 years.
    • Total annual family income of the candidate should not exceed the following:
      • 2.5 Lakhs per annum for Muslims
      • 2 Lakhs per annum for Christians, Jains, Buddhists and Parsis
    Benefits
    • The selected candidates shall be imparted free skill training under various sectors and courses like Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood. 
    • After completion, the candidates will also receive certificates signed by the concerned institutes as per their convenience and interest in sector and course.

    • Income certificate
    • Minority certificate
    • Proof of age
    • Domicile certificate
    How can you apply?

    Follow the steps for application: 

    Step 1: Register at the official page of the Minority Welfare Department of Karnataka.
    Step 2: Provide details on the google form after which the application form will be mailed to the candidate.
    Step 3: Fill in the application form completely received via mail.
    Step 4: Take a print out of the duly filled application form.
    Step 5: Attach the required documents.
    Step 6: Send the application along with attached documents by post to District Minority Welfare Office of the district where the candidate is the resident of.

Terms and Conditions
  • The candidate must register on the official website before submitting the application form.
  • The student should be an Indian citizen and a domicile of Karnataka.
  • The scheme is eligible for one time only.
  • Duration of the training may vary depending upon the sector and name of the course and may extend up to 3-4 months.
  • A minimum of 80% attendance is compulsory which will be taken through biometric mode.
  • The candidate has the option to select the training institute and course according to his/her discretion.
  • There will be no stipend during the training program for the candidate.
  • If the trainee candidates discontinue their training program in between the prescribed tenure, the amount of the training will be reimbursed from them.
  • If any information or document provided by the candidate is discovered to be false, strict action will be taken against the trainee and the amount of the training spent on the trainee shall be collected from him/her.
