Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Scheme 2023 is an initiative of the Sitaram Jindal Foundation (NGO) for students of Class 11 to postgraduate level. It aims to provide financial assistance to underprivileged students pursuing different courses at a higher level. The selected scholars will receive up to ₹3,200 per month.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, an applicant must:

    • be studying in Class 11/12/ITI/diploma/graduation/postgraduation
    • meet the following specified percentage mark eligibility requirement in their previous class:
    Courses Eligibility

    Boys: 60%
    Girls: 55%

     

    For Karnataka:

    Boys: 70%
    Girls: 65%

     

    For West Bengal:

    Boys: 65%

    Graduate Courses

    • B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., BFA, BCA, BBA, BBM, Bachelor of Business Economics/Finance, B.Sc. (Ag.), BVSC Integrated course of 5 years (first 3 years will be treated as graduation course) 
       
    • In the field of Environment like Environment Scientist, Environment Engineer and Environment Journalist
       
    • In the fields of Hospitality, Microbiology, Forensic Sciences and Social Work

    • M.A., M.Phil, M.Com, M.Lib (Science), MBA, Master of Business Economics/Finance/Human Resources Management/International Business/M.Sc. /MVSc, M.Sc. (Agriculture), MCA, Organic Agriculture, Solar Energy, Rural/Urban Management, Integrated course for 5 years (remaining 2 years amount for postgraduation basis)
       
    • In the field of Environment like Environment Scientist, Environment Engineer and Environment Journalist
       
    • In the field of Hospitality, Micro Biology, Forensic Sciences and Social Work

Selection Criteria

All the applicants meeting the eligibility criteria will be considered for this scholarship.

Terms and Conditions
  • The minimum percentage of marks for continuation will be relaxed by 5% at the time of continuation (repeat) of scholarship in all categories.
  • Only those application forms which are downloadable free of cost from the foundation's website will be entertained.
  • A student should apply for a scholarship only once during the duration of the course.
  • The scholarships will be given to all govt., govt. aided schools, colleges/institutes and those private schools, colleges/institutes where the exorbitant fee is not charged to the students.
  • For 3-year or longer duration courses, applications will not be entertained from final-year students.
  • The scholarship will not be given for courses of less than one year.
  • The scholarship will be discontinued after the student crosses 30 years of age.
  • Ensure the information & documents furnished are genuine and correct, failing which action will be taken as we have a stringent system of checking and verification by which some persons were caught and punished in the past.
