The University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bengaluru invites applications from meritorious girl students from Karnataka enrolled in the first year of B.Sc. (Agri./Agri. Biotech.) during 2018-19. This initiative by UAS seeks to financially assist Kannada medium and rural poor girl students for pursuing education. A scholarship of INR 875 per month will be given to students enrolled in UAS, Chickballapur.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility The following conditions should be fulfilled by the candidate:
- Should be a female student
- Must be enrolled in B.Sc. (Agri) or B.Sc. (Agri. Biotech.)
- Should be in the first year of the course admitted in 2018-19
- Should be from a poor background under preferable Kannada medium and rural poor student from Chickballapur district only
- Should have a minimum of 7.50 CGPA in the first year
- Should have a family income less than INR 1,00,000 per annum
Benefits The selected students will receive a scholarship of INR 875 per month.
Note: The scholarship amount may be awarded from the interest accrued on the sum of INR 125,000 being equally divided for 12 months.
Documents The following documents are required to be submitted by the candidates:
- Copy of income certificate issued by a competent authority
- A certificate, in case the applicant has received any free studentship or scholarship during the concerned year
How can you apply? The following steps need to be followed:
Step 1: Obtain application form from the office of the Dean of the respective college or download it here.
Step 2: Carefully fill the form after providing the requisite details.
Step 3: Submit the duly filled form along with the required documents to the concerned Deane on or before the deadline.

Terms and Conditions
- An incomplete application is liable to be rejected
- This scholarship is not eligible for children of government employees
- The holder of the scholarship must duly intimate the head of the institution about any further help that he/she may receive from any charitable institution or endowment fund after receiving the concession
- If any of the details provided by the applicant are found to be untrue, the applicant shall be liable for a penalty of forfeiting of all claims and concessions of any kind in the college of the university and shall be rusticated
- The scholarship shall be renewed for the subsequent year subject to satisfactory performance during the first year
