About The Program
SERB Women Excellence Research Grant 2023 is an opportunity offered by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology (Government of India) to women scientists. The selected candidates will receive a research grant of INR 5,00,000 per annum and INR 1,00,000 per annum as overhead charges for a period of three years.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- not exceed 40 years of age as on the submission date
- have recognition from any one or more of the following national academies such as the Young Scientist Medal, Young Associate etc.
- Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi
- Indian Academy of Science, Bangalore
- National Academy of Science, Allahabad
- Indian National Academy of Engineering, New Delhi
- National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi
- National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi

How can you apply?
Eligible applicants can apply for the grant by following the below-mentioned steps -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details to 'Register'. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email Id.)
Step 3: Navigate to 'How to apply online' and click on 'click here to register'.
Step 4: Fill in the required details to Register. (Note - If the applicant is already registered, kindly login using valid credentials)
Step 5: After successful registration, fill all the mandatory fields in Profile Details Section under 'User Profile' which includes biodata (as per defined template), Photo, Institute Address, etc. and submit.
Note - The proposal has to be uploaded in a single PDF file not more than 10 MB as other technical documents (OTD).
