Scheme for Financial Assistance to Sportspersons 2017-18, Odisha

To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must-

• Be a sportsperson
• Be a domicile of Odisha
• Have represented the Districts of Odisha, State and its Universities in Sports & Games
• Be eligible to undergo the Academics Courses as laid down by SAI, NSNIS under its eligibility criteria

Sportspersons selected for the scholarship will receive the following benefits-

• For BPL category sportspersons
  • 100% course fee
  • INR 10,000 for travelling and other expenses during Diploma and long-term courses
  • INR 5000 for travelling and other expenses during six-week certificate courses
• For non-BPL category sportspersons
  • 75% course fee
  • INR 5000 for travelling and other expenses during Diploma and long-term courses
  • INR 2500 for travelling and other expenses during six-week certificate courses

• Two passport size photographs
• Demand Draft of INR 500 in favour of respective Regional Head of SAI Centre, at which candidate is seeking the admission 
• Affidavit by Parent/Guardian duly attested by the Oath Commissioner
• No Objection Certificate by the employer (in case the candidate is employed)
• Sponsor certificate (in case the candidate is sponsored or recommended by any State/Sports Department)
• Self-attested Xerox copies of the certificates of academic qualifications
• Self-attested Xerox copies of the certificates of sports achievements
