A. The fellowship programme aims to solve rural India's most pressing problems by:
- Providing educated Indian youth with an opportunity to touch lives and create positive change at the grass root level in rural India.
- Providing NGOs working on development projects in rural India with educated manpower whose skill sets can be used to catalyze rural development.
- Promoting a forum for the Programme alumni to share ideas and contribute to rural development throughout their professional life.
Q. Do the applicants need specific experience to contribute effectively?
A. No. There is no requirement for any specific degree or experience. All those who are passionate about making a difference at the grassroots level are invited to apply.
Q. How will the NGO partner of a candidate be decided?
A. The partner NGOs will be decided based on the candidate's skill sets and the needs of the NGOs.
Q. What will be provided to the candidates on the completion of the fellowship?
A. The Fellowship will conclude with a valediction and award of a Certificate of completion.
Q. What will be the fellows' tasks during the 13-month stay?
A. The tasks and responsibilities will vary from fellow to fellow and project to project. Based on the requirements of the project, the candidates will have to spend long hours attending meetings, interacting with the rural community.
