About The Program
Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Dnyanvruddhi Shishyavrutti Bursary Scheme 2024-25 is an opportunity provided by the Goa Education Development Corporation (GEDC) for students of Goa pursuing Higher and Technical Education. It aims to make higher and technical education accessible to everyone in the state, thereby increasing the Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER). The selected candidates will receive financial assistance for education of up to ₹40,000
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be pursuing courses for a maximum duration of 5 years from institutions located in Goa and affiliated recognising authority
- have passed Classes 10, 12, diploma (as applicable) and/or last qualifying examination from an institution in Goa
- have an annual family income of less than ₹5,00,000 from all sources
Note:- Students who have completed graduation from Central University, NIT, IIT, IIM etc. are also allowed to apply for post-graduation under this scheme.
Non-Eligibility:
Students who are beneficiaries of the Interest-Free Education Loan Scheme cannot apply for this scheme.
Benefits
The awardees receive an Entitled Fee of up to ₹40,000 that includes university registration fees, tuition fees, library fees, laboratory fees, cost of textbooks and reference books, gymkhana fees, IT lab fees/InfoTech fees/Information Technology charges and practical fees. Any other fees or charges approved by the sanctioning committee are included in the scheme.

Note:- To renew your application, please upload a marksheet from your most recent qualifying exams, a Bona fide Certificate, an Income Certificate from the appropriate authority, and a fee receipt verified by your institution's head.
How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to Scheme Notification at the end of the page and click the ‘Download’ button.
Step 4: On the official website of GEDC, click ‘The Bursary Scheme for the academic year 2023-24 and 2024-25 is now open’ link.
Step 5: On the page of Bursary details, click ‘Link to download the Bursary Scheme Application Form’ placed in a red tab at the end of the page.
Step 6: Download, print, and fill out the application form.
Step 7: Attach all the relevant documents and submit the application form to the GEDC office between 10.00 am to 12.00 pm and 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm by 17th March 2025.

- Students receiving benefits from the Bursary Scheme are ineligible for similar benefits from any other Goa or India government schemes or scholarships, including fee concessions. However, students may choose which scheme they wish to utilize if they are eligible for multiple.
- The bursary award will be transferred directly to the student's account via Direct Benefit Transfer.
- If the application requires any corrections, it will be returned to the applicant. The applicant will be notified of the required changes via SMS and must resubmit the corrected application by the specified deadline.
