Retention Scholarship for SC Girl Students - Puducherry 2023-24 is an initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India to financially help SC category girl students of Class 1 to 5. The scholarship is applicable for candidates who are domiciles of Puducherry. The selected candidates will receive ₹ 25 per month for 10 months.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must -
- be a domicile of Puducherry
- be a girl student belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category
- be studying in Class 1 to 5 at a recognised institution of the state
- have an annual family income of less than ₹18,000
Benefits The selected girls will be granted educational concession at the rate of ₹ 25 per month for 10 months in an academic year.
Documents - Domicile certificate
- Passport size photograph
- Self-attested copies of diploma/degree certificate
- Caste certificate duly signed by an authorised Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar
- Income declaration certificate from the parents/guardians
How can you apply? Eligible students can apply for the scholarship through the following steps -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' link below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to 'Applicant Corner' and click on 'New Registration' tab.
Step 4: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox and click on the 'Continue' button.
Step 5: Enter mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit.
Step 6: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the registration process.
Step 7: Now click on the 'Fresh Application' tab and log in using the application ID and password.
Step 8: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit the application.Note - All the applicants are advised to fill the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will cancel the form.

Selection Criteria
The candidates will be selected based on the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria.

- The Administrative Secretary is the competent authority to sanction the scholarship to the eligible students.
- The scholarship will be cancelled for any misconduct on the part of the scholar.
