About The Program

Razi Fellowship 2018 is inviting applications from bright Muslim students studying in Class 10 in Kerala to promote a meaningful, purposeful and productive learning culture. The selected students will be offered a fellowship worth INR 50,000 for class 11 to 12. The fellowship will also serve as a golden opportunity for bright students to get a chance to attend a Camp at the Kennedy Space Centre, NASA.

To be eligible for this fellowship, an applicant must-

  • Be an Indian national
  • Belong to the Muslim community
  • Be a meritorious student studying in class 10 during the academic year 2018-19
  • Be enrolled in any Government/Aided/Unaided/Private/Open schools/Kendriya Vidyalaya/Navodaya Vidyalaya in Kerala
  • Not be more than 17 years of age as on 01-01-2019
Benefits
  • The top 10 students will receive Gold Medal, Certificates and will attend a Camp at the Kennedy Space Centre, NASA.
  • A total of 50 fellowships will be awarded each year that includes financial support of INR 50,000 (2000 per month) for 1 year (2018-19) from class 11 to 12 and an annual book grant of INR 5000.
  • The fellowship also includes visits to various Research Laboratories, Institutions of Excellence and National & International Level Workshops for top 200 students.
  • A total of 2000 students will be shortlisted for Regional Level Camps, workshops and Seminars.

Following steps should be followed while applying for this fellowship:
Step 1: Visit the application portal.
Step 2: Read the basic 'Rules & Regulations' before starting the application.
Step 3: Proceed with the application and provide personal details, parent details, address and academic details.
Step 4: Accept the Terms & Conditions.
Step 5: Click on 'Submit'.

  • Applications open: 10.11.2018
  • Applications close: 10.12.2018 (5 pm)
  • Download hall tickets from the website: 15.12.2018
  • Written Test: 23.12.2018 (10.00 am – 12.30pm​)
  • Declaration of Results: 30.12.2018
  • Personal interview: 01.01.2019 to 30.01.2019
Selection Criteria

The students will be selected on the basis of tests:

Stage 1: Aptitude test
Stage 2: Personal Interview

Fellowship will be awarded based on the performance in the two stages of this examination.

Terms and Conditions
  • The Razi Fellowship Aptitude Test will be in the form of Multiple Choice Objective type Questions (MCQs) with four options.
  • There will be 150 objective type questions and the duration of the test will be 150 minutes.
  • The syllabus for the aptitude test will include questions testing Verbal and Non-verbal abilities, Numerical Skills, Logical Reasoning, Critical thinking, Pattern recognition and Current Affairs.
  • The medium of the test will be English.
  • The scholarship will be awarded only after the candidate's clear promotion to class 10.
  • The awardee needs to take up studies on a full-time basis.
  • All the rules are subject to change, as and when required.
