About The Program

Queen’s University, Belfast invites applications for Queen's University Belfast PhD Scholarship in Psychology 2020 from PhD applicants. The aim of this scholarship is to support the PhD in Psychology in the selected research areas. Selected scholars will get a fully-funded PhD scholarship to cover the maintenance and fees for a maximum of 3 years.

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Be willing to pursue a PhD in Psychology at the Queen’s University
  • Have at least a 2.1 degree (or equivalent) in Psychology or a related subject
Benefits

The scholars selected will receive fully-funded PhD scholarships to cover the maintenance and fees for up to 3 years.

Documents
  • Degree transcripts for all completed periods of study (undergraduate level and above). 
  • Copies of official Degree/Diploma Certificates
  • Research proposal 
  • Certified translations, if original documents are not in English
  • Evidence of an acceptable level of competency in the English language (for applicants not having English as their first language)

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be interviewed by School's Postgraduate Research Selection Panel which will include their potential supervisor(s) and then the final selection will be made by the selection committee.

Terms and Conditions
  • Funded studentships may cover maintenance and fees for a maximum of three years, depending on residency status. 
  • Reasonable adjustments and additional supports will be determined on an individual basis, in line with the course entry requirements to ensure selection standards are maintained.
  • Applicants are recommended that they contact the project supervisor before submitting an application.
  • Applicants will also be asked to give a short (10 minute) presentation on a research-related topic during the interview.
