Queen Elizabeth Scholarship 2018 invites applications from PhD applicants who wish to study Doctoral Degree in Biomedical Science. The objective of the scholarship is to develop global citizens through enriched academic, professional and cross-cultural experiences.
Queen Elizabeth Scholarship 2018
DeadlineClosed Eligibility - Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- Applicant should have an excellent academic track record.
- Applicant must be under 35 years of age at the time of application.
- Applicant must have proficiency in English and/or French language.
- Applicant must not have applied for a Canadian citizenship.
- Applicant should agree to participate in the QES community network activities and community engagement activities in Canada.
Note: Applicant will have to return to his/her home country once the course is over.
Benefits Queen Elizabeth Scholarship 2018 provides:
- Full tuition fees
- Books, supplies and research equipment
- Travel allowance
- Health Insurance
- Monthly allowance of CAD 1000
- Ground transportation expenses
- Visa application fees (max. CAD 150)
- French conversation workshop

Terms and Conditions
- All scholarships will end by 31 December, 2021.
- PhD students will be supervised by Professor Marc Germain, in partnership with Dr Urmi Chatterji of University of Calcutta during their study of the role of autophagy in neurodegenerative diseases and cancer.
- Selected students must sign a form which states that they will return to their home country after the completion of their course.
