The Association of Commonwealth Universities invites applications from graduates from Commonwealth countries and provides them with the opportunity to win a scholarship for their Master's degree in Arts and Humanities in selective colleges abroad. The aim of the scholarships is to support the development of higher education as a power for good across the commonwealth and beyond. Students can receive full tuition fee along with other benefits under this scholarship.

    Eligibility

    The following applicants are eligible for the scholarship: 

    • The applicant must be a citizen of a Commonwealth country or must have been granted refugee status by a Commonwealth country. 
    • The applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree of at least upper second level.
    Benefits

    The selected scholars will receive the following benefits:

    • Full waiver of tuition fees
    • A regular stipend (living allowance)
    • A return economy flight
    • An arrival allowance
    • A research support grant (on request)
    Documents

    The following documents are required to be attached along with the application: 

    • High school certificate
    • Undergraduate transcript (and graduation certificate)
    • Two academic references
    • Scanned copy of passport or national ID card
    • Proof of English language ability if English is not the candidate's first language
    • University offer letter for the course the candidate has applied for, if applicable
    How can you apply?

    Follow the steps to apply:

    Step 1: Identify the university to be applied for from the list of universities given on the QECS page.
    Step 2: Click on the selected college and further click on "Click Here" below the how to apply heading. 
    Step 3: Create an account and safely save the credentials. 
    Step 4:  Fill out the online form. 
    Step 5: Attach the required documents. 
    Step 6: Submit the application.

Terms and Conditions
  • The applications will close at 4 pm GMT on 6th February 2019. 
  • The scholarships are for Master’s study only and are not applicable to distance learning courses.
  • The scholarships are for new students only and cannot be used to fund a course if the candidate has already started his/her education. 
  • The scholarships are for a maximum of 2 years only.
