The PRISM National Fellowship 2026 is a collaborative initiative by Project EduAccess, the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bengaluru, and the Indian Society of Developmental Biologists (InSDB). The fellowship is a transformative research opportunity crafted to empower the next generation of life science researchers from underrepresented and marginalised communities across India. Selected fellows will be fully funded.
To be eligible, an applicant must:
Note: Applications are strongly encouraged from students belonging to underrepresented communities, including SC, ST, OBC, PwD, religious minorities, women, gender minorities, and students from Northeast India.
Selected fellows will receive a fully-funded laboratory placement at a leading research institution across India along with the hands-on experience working on live research projects in developmental biology, genetics, or bioinformatics under senior faculty mentors.
