About The Program

Prerana (Post-matric scholarship Registration Release and Network Automation) Portal invites applications from students of ST/SC/OBC/SEBC/EBC community studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary level for Post Matric Scholarship 2018. 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
  • A student must belong to ST/SC/OBC/SEBC/EBC category.
  • A student must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
  • The annual family income of a student belonging to ST/SC category must not be more than INR 2.5 Lacs.
  • The annual family income of a student belonging to OBC/SEBC category must not exceed INR 1 Lac and he/she must have secured a minimum 50% marks in the previous examination.
  • The annual family income of a student belonging to EBC category must not exceed INR 1 Lac and he/she must continue higher education in government institution only. 
    • This scheme for EBC is applicable for GENERAL category only (other than SC/ST/OBC/SEBC).
Benefits

Under the Post Matric Scholarship scheme, eligible students will receive a maintenance allowance of up to INR 1200. For more details, click here.

  • Copy of 1st page of the applicant's bank account passbook containing the details of the account number, IFSC code of the branch

 

How can you apply?

Application process:
Step 1: Go to the website.
Step 2: Scroll down and click on 'Registered Student's Login' option given in 'Student Corner'.
Step 3: Now, click on 'New Students : Please Register Yourself' to register as new user.
Step 4: Login using the username and password you received after registration. This username is a one-time registration number used to apply for Post Matric Scholarship throughout student career.
Step 5: Fill the application form and upload photo and necessary documents.
Step 6: Then click on 'Apply for scholarship'.
Step 7: Fill in all the details.
Step 8: Register the scholarship application form.
Step 9: Student can log in and use 'Edit-Lock-Print' to save his/her form.
Step 10: Then, use 'Track-Status' option to know the current status of application form.

Important Dates

Opening Date of Online Applications: 1 August 2018 (For fresh application) and 11 July 2018 (For renewal application)
Deadline to submit online application: 15 October 2018 (For both fresh and renewal application)
Deadline to submit hard copies to the Institute by the applicants: 31 October 2018 (For both fresh and renewal application)

Terms and Conditions
  • Applicants need to fill the bank details very carefully.
  • Institution-wise applications will be processed on the first-come-first-serve basis for early disbursement of scholarship.
  • Applicants need to provide their Aadhaar Card number for the disbursement of scholarships.
  • Carefully read the notices “Bank-accounts related advisory” and "Important Instructions" attached below.
  • Students who could not apply as the Fresh student last year are required to apply online as a Fresh student for the current year in the PRERANA Portal.
  • Students need to be ready with their roll number, year of passing & name of the board of matriculation examination at the time of online registration.
  • Students must furnish correct information regarding annual income as wrong information will get them debarred from getting the scholarship.
  • Students must keep their PRERANA User ID & Password confidential.

FAQ's

Q. Whether I have to fill up the online application in one sitting?
A. No. You can register by entering your basic details. The system would generate an Applicant-id & password for you. Please note down the generated Applicant-Id & Password. Later you can fill up the online application in as many sittings as you wish, until you are satisfied that you have entered all desirable fields correctly. The software provides facility to save your application. Once you “Lock” your application, you cannot be able to modify further.
 

Q. Can I edit the information already saved and up to what time? 
A. You can edit information filled by you, till you “ Lock and forward the online application” to the institute.
