About The Program

Pre-Matric Scholarship for Children of those Engaged in Unclean & Hazardous Occupations, Maharashtra 2025-26 is an initiative by the Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra, for SC category students studying at pre-matric level in any government or private institutions. The selected students will receive a monthly scholarship of up to ₹700 per month for 10 months and other benefits.

EligibilityDeadline Date: 31-Mar-2026

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be domiciled in Maharashtra 
  • be studying at pre-matric level in government, government-aided, or private non-aided schools in Maharashtra
  • belong to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) category family
  • have parents working in an unclean occupation

Note:- 

  • Students must have passed the previous class to qualify for the scholarship.
  • Students from all boards except those attending self-financing schools are eligible.
  • To be eligible for this scheme, there is no income limit.
Benefits

The selected candidates will receive the following benefits:

Note:- 

  • The maximum benefit duration is 10 months; if a student attends school for less than 10 months, they will receive payments only for the number of months they were enrolled in school, starting from their admission date.

  • Disbursement will happen in one instalment.

  • Domicile Certificate
  • Certificate of occupation (signed by a competent authority such as a Gram sevak and sarpanch, Head of Municipal Corporation, Commissioner of Corporation/Deputy Commissioner/ward Officer.
  • Self-declaration about being engaged in an unclean occupation on ₹20 stamp paper.

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: After successful registration on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 4: Log in using the username and password, and select the respective scholarship.
Step 5: Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.
