About The Program
Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students (Class 9 & 10), Goa 2023-24 is an initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India to provide financial assistance to ST students of the state studying in Class 9 or 10. The scholarship is applicable for candidates who are domiciles of Goa. The selected candidates will receive a monthly scholarship grant of up to ₹350 and other benefits.

To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must-
- be a domicile of Goa
- belong to Scheduled Tribe (ST) community
- be a regular full-time student studying in Class 9 or 10 in a government school or in a school recognized by the Government or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education
- have an annual family income of less than ₹ 2,00,000
- not be receiving any other centrally-funded Pre-Matric Scholarship

Additional allowances for students with disabilities studying in private unaided schools -

Note - The disability as defined under the Persons with Disabilities (equal opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full participation Act, 1995) Act has to be certified by competent medical authority of the State Govt./UT Administration.

- A receipt in acknowledgement of the scholarship in the previous year
How can you apply?
Eligible students can apply for the scholarship through the following steps -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' link below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to 'Applicant Corner' and click on 'New Registration' tab.
Step 4: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox and click on the 'Continue' button.
Step 5: Enter mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit.
Step 6: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the registration process.
Step 7: Now click on the 'Fresh Application' tab and log in using the application ID and password.
Step 8: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit the application.
Note - All the applicants are advised to fill the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will cancel the form.

Terms and Conditions
- The scholarship will be given for only one year. A student will not receive a scholarship for repeating a class.
- In an academic year, the scholarship will be payable for 10 months.
- A student getting a scholarship in Class 9 will be able to renew it for Class 10 subject to good conduct and regularity in attendance.
- The income certificate will be taken only once which will be at the time of admission to the course.
- The Government of India at its own discretion can change the provisions of this scheme at any time.
