Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Odisha 2023-24

• The scholarship will be given for only one year. A student will not receive a scholarship for repeating a class.
• The scholarship will be payable until the student passes Class 10.
• The income certificate will be taken only once which will be at the time of admission to the course.
• The Government of India at its own discretion can change the provisions of this scheme at any time.
• If any documents provided by students are found fake, the scholarship will be cancelled and the amount of the scholarship paid will be recovered from the student (if received any instalment), at the discretion of the concerned State Government.
• The student who has submitted any duplicate documents or wrong details will be permanently blacklisted and debarred for any scholarship.
• In case of discontinuation of studies, a scholar is liable to refund the scholarship amount at the discretion of the State Government.
• The candidates living in any state other than the state of domicile will be awarded a scholarship by the state they belong to and will submit their applications to the competent authority in that state.  
• The scholarship is payable from 1st April or from the month of admission, whichever is later, to the month in which the examinations are completed, at the end of the academic year (including maintenance allowance during holidays), provided that if the scholar secures admission after the 20th day of a month, the amount will be paid from the month following the month of admission. 

For Renewal of Scholarship:

• A student receiving a scholarship in Class 9 will be able to renew it for Class 10, subject to good conduct and regularity in attendance.
• The scholarship shall be auto-renewed based on the attendance and confirmation from the institution of the student having been promoted to the next class and having joined back the school/ institution.
