About The Program

The Government of NCT of Delhi invites applications for Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students (Class 9 & 10) 2018-19, Delhi. The scholarship scheme is open for students of class 9 and 10 belonging to the SC community. Students who are the domiciles of Delhi can get up to INR 1000 per month as financial assistance for pursuing education. The scheme has been launched with an objective of financially supporting the education of students belonging to economically weaker sections.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must-

  • Be a student of class 9 or 10
  • Belong to Scheduled Caste (SC)
  • Be a domicile of Delhi
  • Have an annual family income not exceeding INR 2.5 lakhs per annum
  • Be enrolled in a Government school or in a School recognized by Govt. of a Central/State Board of Secondary Education
  • Not be receiving any other centrally/state-funded scholarship
Benefits

The following are the benefits offered under this scheme-

  • Class 9 and 10 students will receive a scholarship of INR 225 per month (day scholars) and INR 750 per month (hostellers).
  • There will be a books and ad-hoc Grant of INR 525 (day scholars) per annum and INR 1000 (hostellers) per annum.

How can you apply?

Follow the below steps to apply-

Step 1: The applications can be submitted online through the E-district portal.
Step 2: Login using existing credentials or register as a new user.
Step 3: Provide all the relevant details and follow the instructions.
Step 4: Select the scholarship scheme and upload the required documents.
Step 5: Submit the application.

Terms and Conditions
  • The scholarship will be provided to all the students fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
  • Students will receive the scholarship for a duration of 10 months.
  • Bank account of the student should be seeded with his/her Aadhaar and should be in his/her name.
  • The mobile number provided by the student should be active as it will be used for all future communications.
