About The Program
Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Manipur 2023-24 is an initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, to provide financial support to OBC category students of the state who are studying from Class 1 to 10. The selected students will receive a consolidated academic allowance of ₹4,000 per annum.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian national
- be a domicile of Manipur
- belong to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category
- be a full-time regular student studying in Class 1 to 10 at a recognised institution/school
- have annual family income less than ₹2,50,000 from all sources

The selected students will receive a consolidated academic allowance of ₹4,000 per annum.

- Income certificate of the parent(s)/guardians (Note:- It is required to be taken once only, i.e. at the time of admission to courses.)
How can you apply?
Eligible students can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' link below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Applicant Corner' and click on the 'New Registration' tab.
Step 4: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Continue' button.
Step 5: Select the respective Aadhaar option, enter mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, and submit.
Step 6: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the registration process.
Step 7: Now click on the 'Fresh Application' tab and log in using the application ID and password.
Step 8: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents, and submit the application.
Note: All the applicants are advised to fill the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will cancel the form.

- Students receiving this scholarship cannot receive any other educational scholarship for Classes 9 and 10. If a student is awarded multiple scholarships for the same purpose, they can choose which one to keep and must inform the awarding authority and their school principal about their decision. In other words, students cannot avail double benefits from different scholarships for the same purpose in the same class.
For Renewal:
- The scholarship, once awarded, can continue for the next academic year as well. The State Government/Union Territory Administration will automatically renew the scholarship unless the school's competent authority recommends discontinuing it based on the relevant rules and regulations governing the scholarship program.
- Once awarded, the scholarship will continue to be paid to the student until they pass Class 10, provided they maintain satisfactory academic performance and attend at least 75% of classes in each academic year. The attendance will be verified through an Aadhaar-based attendance System.
- The scholarship program offers financial assistance for students for only one year, regardless of their class level. If a student needs to repeat a class, they will not be eligible to receive scholarship funding for that class again in subsequent years.
