About The Program
Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC,EBC and DNT Students, Sikkim 2022-23 is an initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India to financially support the education of OBC, EBC and DNT community students of Sikkim. The selected students will academic allowance and other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- be a resident of Sikkim
- be belong to OBC, EBC and DNT community
- be studying at pre-matric level
- have an annual income of up to INR 2.5 lakhs from all sources
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive the following benefits -

| Group 1 - Degree and Postgraduate level professional courses | 10,000 | 10,000 | 20,000 |
| Group 2 - Other professional courses leading to Degree, Diploma, and Certificate | 8,000 | 5,000 | 13,000 |
| Group 3 - Graduate and Postgraduate courses that aren't covered in Group 1 and 2 | 6,000 | 2,000 | 8,000 |
| Group 4 - All post-matriculation (Post Class 10 level) non-degree courses | 5,000 | - | 5,000 |
Note - Students pursuing C A ./ I.C.W.A./ C.S./ level 1C.F.A. shall be treated as day-scholars for the purpose of academic allowance. Students studying through correspondence/ online courses shall not be eligible for the academic allowance.

How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' link below.
Step 2: Navigate to 'Applicant Corner'and click on 'New Registration'.
Step 3: Now click on 'Click here for other Scholarship Schemes hosted on NSP for AY 2022-23'.
Step 4: Read the guidelines carefully, select the undertaking, and 'Continue'.
Step 5: Select the state of domicile, scholarship category (Pre Matric), scheme type (scholarship scheme), gender, and write the applicant's name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
Step 6: Provide the bank details (Bank name, IFSC Code, Account Number)
Step 7: Select Aadhaar or Bank Account Number as identification detail and click on the 'Register' button.
Step 8: The mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be generated.
Step 9: Now, log in using OTP and fill out the application form.
Step 10: After successful submission of the application form, an application ID and password will be generated which can be used for future references.
Note - All the applicants are advised to fill the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will cancel the form.

- The income certificate will be taken only once which will be at the time of admission to the course.
- Applicants are requested to fill the application form online, with the correct and verifiable details only.
- Funds provided under this scheme will not be utilised for any other purpose.
- The scholarship is dependent on the satisfactory progress and conduct of the recipient.
- The recipients of this scholarship cannot hold any other scholarship/stipend.
- The recipient is liable to refund the scholarship amount if the student discontinues the study for which the scholarship was initially awarded.
- The provisions of this scheme can be changed at anytime at the discretion of the Government of India.
- A student's scholarship will be cancelled in case of discontinuation of studies due to personal reasons or in case of false information provided in the online application.
- The scholarship will not be paid for the period of internship/horsemanship in the M.B.B.S course or for practical training in other courses if the student is in receipt of some remuneration during the internship period or some allowance/stipend during the practical training in other courses.
