Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protasahan Yojana (PM-USP) 2023-24

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir or Ladakh
• have passed Class 12 from JKBOSE or CBSE schools in Jammu & Kashmir/Ladakh in session 2021-22 and 2022-23
• have obtained a diploma from Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir or Ladakh Polytechnic for admission directly in the second year 
• have an annual family income of less than INR 8,00,000
• fulfill the minimum age criteria and other required eligibility prescribed by the institution*

The following students are ineligible for this scholarship:

• The applicants who haven't applied through the online registration portal of AICTE.
• The applicants who are pursuing education from an open university.
• The applicants who are availing benefits from Government/Non-government schemes including scholarships from NSP.
• The applicants who have taken admission from government quota.
• The applicants who have taken admission in the institution that are not listed on the AICTE portal.
• The applicants who are pursuing a diploma or PG programme.
• The applicants who have taken admission through agents/NGOs.
• The applicants who were absent during the counselling. 
• The applicants who have taken admission in other than the allotted college by the AICTE.

Selected candidates will receive the following benefits -

• For general degrees - an academic fee of up to INR 30,000 per annum will be provided.
• For professional engineering/nursing/pharmacy/hotel management/architecture etc. - an academic fee of up to INR 1,25,000 per annum will be provided.
• For medical/BDS or equivalent - an academic fee of up to INR 3,00,000 per annum will be provided.

• Self-Attested Scan copy of (in jpg/png not more than 2MB)
• Domicile Certificate
• SSC Marksheet
• Family Income Certificate (Issued by Tehsildar or equivalent)
• Aadhaar card
• Caste reservation /Physically disabled certificates (if any) and other attachments (in jpg/png not more than 10–50 KB)
• Passport Size photo (200 x 230 pixels - preferred)
• Father/Guardian Passport size photo (in case of a single mother, please upload the mother’s photo in father’s/guardian’s place)
• Mother/Guardian passport-size photo
• Signature (140 x 60 pixels - preferred)

Note - All documents to be uploaded should be in .JPG /.PDF/.PNG format and their file size should be less than 2 MB.
