About The Program
Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) for BC/EBC Category, Bihar 2026-27 is an opportunity offered by the Education Department, Government of Bihar, to BC/EBC category students of the state studying at the post-matric level in a recognized institution in the state. The selected candidates will receive a scholarship of up to INR 15,000 annually.
The selected students will also receive other benefits, including maintenance allowance, reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees, study tour charges, thesis typing, book allowance, and book bank facilities. An additional allowance will also be given to disabled students for each academic year.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be a domicile/resident of Bihar
- belong to the Backward Class (BC) or Economically Backward Class (EBC) category of Bihar
- have an annual family income of not more than INR 1,00,000 from all sources
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive the benefits in the following manner:

| Post Graduation/M.Phil./Ph.D. level degree/courses | INR 5,000 |

| Professional/Technical degree/courses | INR 15,000 |

Note: All the documents must be uploaded in PDF format and under 150-400 KB in size.
How can you apply?
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Navigate to the ‘Apply Now’ button.
Step 4: Enter the OTR number and click ‘Get OTR’.
Step 5: Fill in the required details to register, then click the ‘Next’ button.
Step 6: Log in using valid credentials (user ID, password, captcha code) to access the application form.
Step 7: Fill in the required details, upload the relevant documents, and submit.
Note: Applicants must have an OTR (One-Time Registration) number before applying. Generate your OTR number through the NSP portal before submitting the scholarship application.
