About The Program

The Post-Matric Scholarship for ST, SC, and MBC Students, Odisha 2026-27, offered by the ST&SC and MBC Welfare Department, Government of Odisha, is designed to provide financial assistance to eligible students pursuing higher education in specified disciplines. Selected candidates will receive financial assistance to complete their higher education.

EligibilityDeadline Date: 30-Apr-2026

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a domicile of Odisha
  • belong to a Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC) or Minorities & Backward Classes (MBC*)
  • be pursuing their graduation/postgraduation in one of the following disciplines:
    • Accountancy
    • Agriculture & Allied Sciences
    • Animal Husbandry
    • Applied Art & Craft
    • Architecture
    • Ayurvedic
    • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
    • Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)
    • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.Tech.) (consider adding other Engineering specializations here)
    • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc. IT)
    • Bachelor of Science/Technology (B.Sc./B.Tech.) (consider if this captures other science/technology programs)
    • Bachelor of Tourism & Hospitality Management
    • Bachelor in Visual Arts
    • Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) / Diploma in Vocation (D.Voc.)
    • Craftsmanship Certificate in Hotel Management
    • Dental
    • Diploma in Hotel Management
    • Doctoral (Ph.D.)

Note:- Minorities & Backward Classes (MBC) includes Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) categories.

Benefits

The selected candidates will receive the financial assistance up to ₹5,50,000 per annum with an annual maintenance allowance of up to ₹13,500.

  • Caste certificate of the applicant
  • Copy of passbook of bank account with account number and IFSC code of the bank branch
  • Passport-size photograph of the applicant
  • Disabled certificate (if applicable)
  • Institute declaration certificate
  • Class 10, 12 marksheets and certificates
How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details to register. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Navigate to the respective scholarship tab and click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 4: Click on the 'Register Here' under the 'Sign In' button. (Note:- The applicants who are already registered can log in using valid credentials)
Step 5: Read all the instructions carefully, tick the terms and conditions, and click on 'Proceed' to continue. 
Step 6: Provide the Aadhaar number and verify it to register. 
Step 7: Once registered successfully, log in to the portal.
Step 8: Fill in the application form, upload photos and necessary documents, and click on the 'Apply' button to complete the process.
