PM YASASVI Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC/EBC/DNT Students - Himachal Pradesh 2023 is an initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India for OBC, EBC, and DNT category students who are studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary level in Himachal Pradesh. The selected candidates will receive an annual academic allowance and other benefits for the complete duration of the course.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, an applicant must - 

    • be a domicile of Himachal Pradesh 
    • belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Backward Class (EBC) and De-Notified Tribes (DNT) category
    • be pursuing post-matriculation or post-secondary level courses from a recognized institution
    • have annual family income less than ₹ 2,50,000 from all sources
    Benefits

    The selected scholars will receive the scholarship in the following manner - 

    Category Academic Allowance (in ₹ ) Tuition Fee (in ₹ ) Total (in ₹ )
    Group 1 - Degree and Post Graduate level professional courses 10,000 10,000 20,000
    Group 2 - Other Professional Courses leading to Degree, Diploma, Certificate 8,000 ₹ 5,000 ₹ 13,000
    Group 3 - Graduate and Post Graduate courses not covered under Group I & Group II 6,000 2,000 8,000
    Group 4 - All post-matriculation (Post Class X level) non-degree courses 5,000 N/A 5,000

    Note:- 

    • Students pursuing C A ./I.C.W.A./C.S./I.C.F.A. shall be treated as day scholars for the purpose of academic allowance.
    • Students studying through correspondence/online courses shall not be eligible for academic allowance.
    • Tuition fees shall be paid merely to online/correspondence students.

    How can you apply?

    Eligible students can apply for the scholarship through the following steps -

    Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' link below. 
    Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
    Step 3: Navigate to 'Applicant Corner' and click on 'New Registration' tab.
    Step 4: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox and click on the 'Continue' button. 
    Step 5: Enter mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit.  
    Step 6: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the registration process. 
    Step 7: Now click on the 'Fresh Application' tab and log in using the application ID and password.
    Step 8: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit the application.

    Note - All the applicants are advised to fill the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will cancel the form.

Selection Criteria

The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of eligibility criteria. 

Terms and Conditions
  • Scholars obtaining awards under this scheme shall not be allowed to avail of benefits under any other post-matric scholarship.
  • Only two boys from the same family can receive scholarships, but this rule does not apply to girls. This means that if two girls from the same family receive scholarships, it will not affect the ability of their two brothers to receive scholarships.
  • Students must have at least 75% attendance in the previous year to be eligible for a scholarship.
  • If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statements, their scholarship will be cancelled forthwith and the amount of the scholarship paid will be recovered, at the discretion of the concerned State Government.
  • The provisions of this scheme can be changed at any time at the discretion of the Government of India.
