About The Program

The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation invites applications from researchers in the field of social sciences and humanities for Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Research Fellowship 2018. The main objective of the fellowship is to render continuous support to intellectuals known for their productivity, ability to produce innovative solutions, and commitment towards communicating their respective findings. 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible for the fellowship, an applicant must -

  • Be an active researcher in the areas of social sciences and humanities related to any one of the four themes of the foundation. 
  • Be a Canadian citizen/permanent resident/foreign citizen who has legal allowance to live in Canada during the funding period. 
  • Be affiliated with a University that grants doctoral degrees during the fellowship tenure.  
How can you apply?

Note: All applications will be made through nominations by a Foundation fellow, scholar or mentor or a Canadian University.

Selection process

The foundation adopts a rigorous process of selection in three steps -

  • Review of the file from December to April that comprises interview stage too. 
  • Approval of recommended applications by Application and Nomination Review Committee.
  • Final approval by Board of Directors of the Foundation.
