Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship 2023-24 is an opportunity offered by the School & Mass Education Department, Odisha for students who are studying in Class 11 and 12. The objective of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students having proficiency in Mathematics and studying in Odia medium recognised institutions of the state. Selected meritorious students will be awarded a scholarship of ₹ 50,000 per annum.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must -
- be studying in a Odia medium Higher Secondary School affiliated to the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha (CHSE)
Note: Selected students can avail benefits of more than one scholarship at a time including PSMTS.
Benefits Selected meritorious students will receive a scholarship of ₹ 5,000 per annum.
Note: Students who have been previously awarded the PSMTS scholarship can renew it for the following academic year if they meet the criteria of successful promotion to Class 12.
Documents - Aadhaar card of the student
- Bank details of the student
- Passport-size photograph of a student
- School ID card/Admission receipt/Library Card/Letter of Undertaking
- Marksheets/ certificate of the last exam passed
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Registration' button and fill in the required details to 'Register'. (Note: If already registered, log in using the Unique Number/ Aadhaar Number and password).
Step 3: Navigate to the respective scholarship scheme i.e. 'Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship'.
Step 4: Provide all the necessary details and documents and submit the application form.

Selection Criteria
Selection is based on the fulfillment of eligibility criteria and the final merit/selection list of 1,000 students drawn based on aggregate marks and the marks secured in Mathematics in the HSC exam, as provided by BSE (O).

Terms and Conditions
- In the case of a tie in the selection criteria, the candidate's position will be determined by the marks secured in the Mathematics subject in the HSC examination.
- The renewal process of the scholarship is authenticated online by the concerned Higher Secondary school or institution.
- There are no specific parental income criteria for the PSMTS. Students from all financial backgrounds can apply.
- Students may hold more than one scholarship simultaneously during their participation in the Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship.
