To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Be interested in pursuing PAIS taught MA programmes, including the double degrees
- Have applied to the university and have paid their application fee no later than 15 April 2022 (Note - The applicant must have submitted the application to the MA programme before submitting the scholarship application.)
- Have obtained an offer from the university before taking up the award
Note - The candidates can apply concurrently to other funding sources; however, successful candidates who receive major tuition funding elsewhere will be disqualified.
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive scholarships under the following categories -
- For Home candidates - £5,000 awards
- For Overseas candidates - £10,000 awards
- Part-time candidates will be considered; successful part-time awards will be distributed evenly across both years of study (eg, £2,500 each year for a Home candidate).
Documents
- A case for support demonstrating why the applicant fits the specified criteria as well as reflecting the motivations for choosing to do a postgraduate degree in the specialisation (not more than 600 words)
- Statement of purpose (Note - It should differ from the statement of purpose submitted with the application to the university.)

Selection Criteria
The candidates will be selected based on the following criteria -
- Outstanding academic performance (70%)
- The outstanding case for support (30%)
Note - This is not a need-based scholarship, so the financial situation will not be taken into account.

- If the applicants have not received the results of the application within seven weeks of the closing date, they can assume the application was not successful.
- The primary factor determining an application's success is the strength of the case for support.
