About the Program

Painting Competition to Mark the 150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi 2018 invites entries from all citizens of India to submit a painting on Mahatma Gandhi. The objective of the competition is to encourage the inspiring painters to bring out the best about Mahatma Gandhi through their paintings.

    This contest is open to all individuals who are citizens of India. 


    Top three entries will be awarded a cash prize as:

    • 1st prize: INR 20,000
    • 2nd prize: INR 15,000
    • 3rd prize: INR 10,000
    How can you apply?

    Step 1: Applicant can click here to register as a new user. 
    Step 2: Now, log in with registered ID and go to 'Creative Corner' section. 
    Step 3: Scroll and select the contest.
    Step 4: Now, click on 'Submit task' and share the URL of the film uploaded on YouTube.
    Step 5: Finally, click on 'Save' to submit it. 

Selection Criteria

A committee of experts will review the paintings and the winners will be selected by them.

  • There is no limit on the number of entries to be submitted by any applicant.
  • The minimum resolution of the painting to be submitted should be 300 DPI with minimum data size of 2 MB.
  • The format of the painting should be jpg or jpeg and no watermark or logo should be present on it.
  • There should not be any kind of proactive or objectionable content on the painting.
  • The painting should be a fresh concept and should not violate any copyright rules. 
  • The selected paintings will be displayed in national level exhibitions.
  • All entries must include details like applicant's name, email id, mobile number and photo.
