About The Program

The Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore invites applications for the NTU Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship 2019. It is an excellent opportunity for early career scientists, engineers and scholars from around the world to conduct independent research in any discipline at the NTU. The postdoc appointment aims to provide a pathway to an academic appointment as an assistant professor or another international postdoctoral assignment. The selected candidates will receive a yearly fellowship of SGD 80,000 along with other benefits.

To be eligible for this fellowship, an applicant must:

  • Be a PhD graduate with no more than 5 years of full-time post postdoctoral experience
  • Demonstrate intellectual excellence
  • Have the capacity and maturity to begin an independent research career
  • Have the potential and the desire to develop as a future academic leader
  • Submit a thoughtful and realistic research proposal
  • Be available to take up the position no later than 31 October 2019
Benefits

The fellows selected for the NTU Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship will receive the following:

  • A yearly fellowship of SGD 80,000 for a duration of 2 years
  • A yearly research grant of up to SGD 100,000
  • A yearly housing grant of SGD 18,000 with eligibility for subsidized apartment accommodation (subject to availability)
  • Relocation allowance of up to SGD 4000

  • Cover letter
  • Comprehensive CV (with full publication list)
  • Official transcript or Degree Certificate in English (PhD degree)
  • Research proposal (in no more than 2 pages)
  • Contact information of two referees (one must be the candidate's PhD Supervisor)
  • Top 3 publications (in PDF) and any other supporting documents (scanned copy)

Step 3: Keep all the supporting documents ready before proceeding further.
Step 4: Enter passport number, date of birth and email address to begin the application process.
Step 5: From the link received in the mail, proceed to the application.
Step 6: Provide all the required details and upload the necessary documents.
Step 7: Submit the application.

Note: Applicants will need to provide the names and particulars of two referees. Provide their official and not personal emails. They will be asked to provide their reports.
