About The Program
DRDO-ITR Chandipur Junior Research Fellowship & Research Associateship 2024 is an opportunity offered by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to B.E./B.T.ech, M.E./M.Tech, and Ph.D. degree holders. Selected candidates will receive a fellowship of up to ₹67,000 per month with other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF):
- be under 28 years old as of 5th June 2024
- hold a B.E./B.Tech. degree in the first division with a valid GATE score OR an M.E./M.Tech. degree in the first division (achieved in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies) in one of the following disciplines:
- Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETC)
- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (E&I)
For Research Associate (RA):
- be under 35 years old as of June 5th, 2024. (Changed phrasing as above)
- hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR
- hold an M.E./M.Tech. degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in design and development, research, or teaching
- have at least one research paper published in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal
Note:- Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates as of 5th June 2024 will be provided.
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive a fellowship of:-
- For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): ₹37,000 per month with HRA and medical facilities as per rules
- For Research Associates (RA): ₹67,000 per month with HRA and medical facilities as per rules

- The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) positions are both temporary and have a five-year tenure.
