About The Program
NIT Tiruchirappalli Department of Civil Engineering Junior Research Fellowship 2022 is a research opportunity offered to B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. degree holders. The fellowship is applicable for the project titled, “Application of Natural Fiber Reinforced Polymers as Alternative to Synthetic Fiber Reinforced Polymers”. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus 16% HRA.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Hold a B.E./B.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering degree and M.E/M.Tech. degree* in Structural Engineering/Environmental Engineering/Water Resources Engineering
Desirable Qualifications -
- Have core knowledge in material property testing, solid mechanics, and finite element software modelling
- Have basic knowledge in testing laboratory instrumentation, composites, material characterization, and treatment
Note* - Preferably with GATE score.

- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test/Interview.
- No T.A/D.A will be paid for attending the interview.
- Preference will be given to the candidate who is having a good academic record, research potential, relevant experience and GATE score. However, the selection of the candidate would purely be based on their performance in the Written Test and/or Interview.
- The date of the Written Test and/or Interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates by email.
- The selection committee decision is final. If any applicant is found to canvass in any manner, the candidate selection will be summarily rejected.
