About The Program

NIT Srinagar Department of Civil Engineering Junior Research Fellowship 2022 is a research opportunity offered by the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar to M.E./M.Tech degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India funded research project entitled - "Seismic Wave based Tools for the Characterization of Small-Strain Stiffness, Damping and Anisotropy of Soils in the Laboratory". The candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus 16% HRA for the first 2 years and INR 35,000 per month plus 16% HRA for the third year.

To be eligible, an applicant must - 

  • Hold an M.E./M.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering/Soil Dynamics/Geotechnical Engineering/Mining Engineering/allied disciplines from a recognised university with 70% or 7.0 CPI/CGPA

 

Desirable Qualifications - 

  • Have experience in numerical analysis & simulation of geotechnical structures
  • Have working knowledge of field and laboratory geotechnical/geophysical testing, latest data acquisition systems and interpretation, report writing etc.
Benefits

The candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus 16% HRA for the first 2 years and INR 35,000 per month plus 16% HRA for the third year.
