About The Program
NIT Rourkela Department of Physics and Astronomy (PA) Junior Research Fellowship 2022 is a research opportunity offered by the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela to M.Sc. degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a SERB (Science and Engineering Research Board) funded project entitled - “Study of Instability and Outburst in Luminous Blue Variables (LBVs)". The candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month for the 1st & 2nd years and INR 35,000 per month for the 3rd year.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Hold an M.Sc. degree in Physics/Astrophysics
- Have secured 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA with a valid NET/GATE scorecard
Desirable Qualifications/Experiences -
- Have experience in Model construction of stars/ observation of stars
Benefits
The candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month for the 1st & 2nd years and INR 35,000 per month for the 3rd year.
