About The Program
The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela invites applications for the NIT Rourkela Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) 2021 from MTech/MSc/BTech degree holders. The fellowship is a temporary post for the project titled, “Multi-step improvement of Enterobacter sp. EtK3 strain in order to obtain higher ethanol yield from cellulosic fruit waste: single step for waste to energy conversion”. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship up to INR 31,000 per month for the first two years and INR 35,000 per month for the third year.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Hold an MTech/MSc in Biotechnology or any branch of life science/ Botany/Zoology with 65% marks, OR
- Hold a BTech with a valid GATE score with 85% marks
Experience in Molecular Biology, Bioprocess, Environmental Biotechnology and Microbiology is desirable. Valid GATE/NET is desirable.
