About The Program

NIMHANS Bengaluru Department of Neurovirology Junior Research Fellowship 2021 is an opportunity offered by the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, Bengaluru to master’s degree holders. The fellowship is on a contract basis for the WT-DBT project entitled - “Designing and Validating an Algorithm to Determine Etiological Agents associated with Acute Encephalitis Syndrome in Pediatric Patients”. The selected candidate will receive consolidated remuneration of INR 31,000 per month.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must - 

  • Be up to 28 years for General Category 
  • Hold a Master’s degree in Microbiology/Virology/Biotechnology with at least 60% marks

 

Note - Age relaxation of up to 5 years (up to 33 years) for SC/ST/Differently abled/Women applicants and 3 years (up to 31 years) for OBC (Non-creamy coating) will be given

Desirable Qualification: 

An applicant must - 

  • Have a prior experience of working in the area of Infectious Diseases
  • Have experience in performing Serological Assays like ELISA and Molecular Tests (Real-time PCR)
  • Have experience in Flow Cytometry
