NFDC Short Film Competition 2018 invites entries from young amateur filmmakers who are school/college students to make short films on the theme 'Be the change which you want to see in the world'. The competition aims to spread awareness among youth generation about the simplicity and high ideals of Mahatma Gandhi's life.

    Eligibility

    The competition is open for amateur film-makers who are currently studying in private/public high schools/colleges /universities.

    Benefits
    • The winner of 1st prize will get a cash prize of INR 50,000.
    • The winner of 2nd prize will get a cash prize of INR 35,000.
    • The winner of 3rd prize will get a cash prize of INR 25,000.
    • The consolation prize of INR 10,000 will be given to each of the 7 winners.
    • Also, the winners will receive certificate and internship with any regional office of NFDC for 2 weeks with consultation and consent of the winners. 
    • The winners will be given preference to get empaneled with NFDC if they are willing. They just need to fulfill the basic requirements of Empanelment Criteria.

    How can you apply?

    Eligible candidates can apply online by following the steps mentioned below:

    Step 1: Upload the video to be submitted for the competition on YouTube.
    Step 2: Now, click here to register on MyGov. 
    Step 3: Login by using the registered email ID and password.
    Step 4: Click here to visit the competition page. 
    Step 5: Now, add the YouTube link of the video in the comment section.
    Step 6: Submit the entry.

Selection Criteria

A panel of jury will review all the qualified entries on the basis of creativity, originality, composition, simplicity, merit and visual impact and how well they communicate and promote the teaching and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi at his 150th Birth Anniversary.

Terms and Conditions
  • The duration of the short film must not be more than 3 minutes.
  • The short film can be in any of the 22 official Indian languages with transcript (in verbatim) in Hindi /English.
  • The content should be original and must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content. 
  • The result will be declared on the portal of MyGov.
