About The Program
NEHU Shillong Department of Zoology Junior Research Fellowship 2021 is a research opportunity offered to M.Sc degree holders. The selected fellow is required to work on a project entitled - "Purification and Characterization of Glycerol Kinase and Glycerol-3- Phosphate Dehydrogenase (cytosolic and mitochondrial) from Homo sapiens for their Critical Role in Type 2 Diabetes (BT/PR31051/MED/30/2100/2019 dated 05/08/2020)". The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary as per DBT, GoI, rules, and regulations.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Not be more than 28 years as on 6th August 2021
- Hold an M. Sc. degree in Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics with a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination (with relaxation as per GoI rules)
Desired Qualifications -
- NET (UGC-CSIR)/ GATE and experiences in handling various Bioinformatics Software for Protein Chemistry, OR
- Experience in Protein Expression in E.coli/ Yeast, and Protein Purification and Molecular Biology
