About The Program

The Government of Arunachal Pradesh State, India; aims to assist the education of Scheduled Tribe Students of the region by providing financial support to them to pursue higher studies. The NEC Stipend of APST 2018-19 provides for monthly and annual stipend and book grant for the ST students who’re permanent residents of the Arunachal Pradesh, India.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
  • The applicant should belong to Scheduled Tribes of the State as notified by Central/State Government and are permanent residents of Arunachal Pradesh
  • Students pursuing higher education in any state of the nation for degree/diploma/post-graduate courses as listed by DHE Arunachal Pradesh and State Government. Visit link for the list of eligible courses.
  • Applicants need to be enrolled in a full time program at the respective educational institution.
  • Candidates should pursue their higher education from requisite state/central government recognized institution (UGC, AICTE, MCI, DCI, BCI, CCH, etc.)

  • Attested copy of Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe Certificate
  • Marksheet of last examination passed.
  • Identity Card/Admission receipt of student for current given academic session
  • Photocopy of passbook, containing details of bank account holder.
  • Aadhar card copy
How can you apply?

Step 1: Download the application and take a print out of the same.
Step 2: Fill in the requisite details and mark all the necessary fields.
Step 3: Get the attested copies of the documents as requested
Step 4: Have the application form attested and verified from applicant’s institution head
Step 5: Sign the form in presence of two witnesses mentioning their complete contact details.

Terms and Conditions
  • Only those candidates who’re not receiving or are awardees of any ongoing/prospective scholarship/grant/fellowship/stipend by any state/private institution are eligible to receive the NEC-APST Stipend 2018-19
  • The applicant has to abide by an undertaking that ‘if provided with the opportunity’ the candidate after successful completion of studies should be willing to take up permanent job at Arunachal Pradesh for a minimum period of 5 years.
  • The Applicant has to abide by an undertaking wherein failure to continue studies (including failure in academic term) would render the stipend disbanded from the next month of the academic year.
  • Diploma students of previous year cannot apply for renewal of Stipend for Bachelor’s degree. They have to apply under fresh application norms.
  • Girl Students who fail to continue education for a valid explainable reason (including failure in academic term) as presented to DHE-Arunachal Pradesh, would be eligible for receiving stipend not exceeding the current academic year provided they resume their education.
