NEC Merit Scholarship 2018-19 invites applications from students of Manipur pursuing post-matric higher professional courses/streams. The scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to deserving candidates of Manipur.
NEC Merit Scholarship, Manipur 2018-19
DeadlineClosed Eligibility - The applicant must be the bonafide student of Manipur.
- The applicant must be pursuing Technical and Professional courses at Diploma, Degree, Postgraduate or M.Phil/Ph.D. level.
- The qualifying marks for general/OBC category is 70% or above in aggregate and for SC/ST/PH is 60% or above in aggregate in the relevant qualifying exams.
- The annual family income must not exceed INR 4.5 Lakh for the year ending on 31 March 2018.
Benefits The rate of scholarship per annum is given below:
- Diploma level students will get INR 20,000.
- Degree level students will get INR 22,000.
- Postgraduate students will receive INR 25,000.
- Ph.D./M.Phil students will get INR 30,000.
Documents - Recognition letter from AICTE or equivalent agency
- Income certificate issued by the relevant authority
- Caste certificate duly signed by the competent authority in case the applicant belongs to OBC/SC/ST category
- P.R.C. duly signed by the D.C. concerned
- Marksheet of the qualifying exam
- Photocopy of bank passbook & Aadhaar card
- Admission receipt/Bonafide certificate from the applicant's institution
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply online by following the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Click here to sign up as the new user.
Step 2: Now, sign in using the registered username and password.
Step 3: Then, click on 'Student Profile'.
Step 4: Click on 'Add New' to start the application process.
Step 5: Fill all the required details and upload the passport size photograph to complete the profile.
Step 6: Now, click on 'NEC Fresh Application' to apply for the scholarship.
Step 7: Fill the important details and upload the necessary documents,
Step 8: Click on 'Save new' to submit the application form.

Terms and Conditions
- Students applying for renewal of the scholarship must have been promoted to the next higher class without any break.
- Selected students cannot avail double scholarship/stipend.
- Students must not provide any false or incomplete information as it would lead to automatic cancellation of the scholarship.
