About The Program
NCERT invites applications for the National Talent Search Exam NTSE 2017-18 for those who are studying in class 10 this year. There will be two levels of examinations: Level 1 is a state level and once the student qualified in level 1 will be eligible to apply for level 2 i.e national level. The dates for applying varies according to the states and will be notified by respective state.

The student studying in Class 10 can apply
- Reservation: 15% is reserved for the student under SC category
- 7.5% is reserved for the ST category
- 4% is reserved for Physically Challenged students
The students who qualified for stage 1 will be eligible to appear in stage 2 exam conducted by NCERT.
- All students of class 10 can apply for the stage 1 exam, conducted by the state/UT in which the school is located
- Students of Open distance learning can apply also
- Above 18 years as on 1st July 2017
How can you apply?
The completed application form along with the sign of the Principal of the school must be sent to the address provided by the liaison officer of the state. The fee charged for the state one examination will be notified by the state and union territories itself. There will be no charge for the state 2 examinations.
