About The Program

National Overseas Scholarship/Passage Grant For  SC Etc Candidates for the year 2016-17 is invited by Government of India,  to provide financial assistance to students from scheduled castes, denotified, nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes, landless agricultural labourers and traditional artisans for pursue Master’s Degree and Ph.D. courses abroad in the fields of Engineering, Management &  Pure Sciences, Applied Sciences, Agricultural Science, Medicine, International Commerce, Accounting & Finance, Humanities, Social Sciences, Fine Arts. The number of scholarships to be awarded every year is 100 of which 30 scholarships are reserved for women candidates.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
  • Students belong to Scheduled Castes, Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Labourers and Traditional Artisans below 35 years of age.
  • Securing 55% marks and above in Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree.
  • Family annual income of Rs.6.00 lakh per annum or less.

Self Attested photocopies of the following documents must accompany with applications:

  • Matriculation or another certificate as proof for date of birth.
  • All Degrees/Diplomas/Certificate with mark sheets.
  • Income certificate in the prescribed format.
  • Offer letter if obtained admission.

 
Self Attested Photo Copy of Caste Certificate issued by a Competent Authority.

In the case of Passage Grant additional information with a statement indicating:

  • Details of merit scholarship and the manner in which it has been obtained.
  • Self Attested copy of the letter of the award.
