The National Institute of Immunology (NII) invites applications for National Institute of Immunology Junior/Senior Research Fellowship 2020 from postgraduate degree holders. The fellowship is meant for the project entitled, "Genotype-phenotype relationship in rare genetic disorders: Physicochemical analysis of mutations in GNE myopathy and phenotypic modulation by small-molecule effectors”. The selected fellows will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus 24% HRA (for JRF) and INR 35,000 per month plus 24% HRA (for SRF).

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, an applicant must fulfil the following conditions -

    For Junior Research Fellowship:

    • Hold an MSc (Bioinformatics/Biophysics/Biotechnology or any other stream of biological/physical sciences) degree with NET OR
    • Hold a BTech (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/IT) degree with NET OR
    • Hold an MTech (Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology /Computational Sciences) degree

    For Senior Research Fellowship:

    • Hold an MSc (Bioinformatics/Biophysics/Biotechnology or any other stream of biological/physical sciences) degree with NET OR
    • Hold a BTech (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/IT) degree with NET OR 
    • Hold an MTech (Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology / Computational Sciences) or MPharm degree with at least 3 years of research experience
    Benefits

    The selected fellows will receive a fellowship INR 31,000 per month plus 24% HRA (for JRF) and INR 35,000 per month plus 24% HRA (for SRF).

The selection of the candidates will be made based on the applicant's performance in the interview. The will be held through online mode only.

  • Applications containing incomplete information shall not be entertained.
  • NII (SC/ST/PH and Women candidates are exempted subject to the submission of documentary proof), at the time of interview.
  • Computational analysis of genomes and development of bioinformatics tools and software’s for sequence and structure-based analysis of biosynthetic pathways.
