About The Program

NEO is the biggest and oldest pan-India Economics Olympiad for students of classes XI and XII. It serves as a great opportunity for students to test their acumen and broaden their understanding of economics in terms of its application in the real world. It will be conducted on an online platform called Speed Exam with 2 rounds, both of which will be held on the 1st and 8th of November, respectively. The selected fellows will receive Cash Prizes INR 40,000 plus & Certificate of Excellence for winners.

  • Students of Classes 11 and 12
  • Eligible school students.

No specific documents are required. The registrant has to fill the relevant details asked during the registration process without any need of documents

How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the fellowship by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Go to the official website (http://ecosocsrcc.com/NEO)
Step 2: Click on 'Register'
Step 3: Log in to D2C (Dare2Compete) using your Facebook/Google/LinkedIn account. You may also create a new account.
Step 4: Enter your personal credentials. Please ensure you enter your school name in the organization field
Step 5: Click on 'Submit'.
Step 6: Click on 'Proceed to Payment' and make the payment of the registration fees.
Step 7: On making the payment, you will get a payment confirmation e-mail. After making the payment, you can access the Sample Question Booklet on your Dare2Compete dashboard on the NEO page, shown as the first round.
Step 8: The Olympiad shall be conducted on SpeedExam.net and the login credentials and other instructions shall be shared over e-mail to the candidates a few days before the examination.

NOTE: Submit the additional details like City, State, Country, and Referral Code (if any) after the payment. The form asking for these details might take a few seconds after the payment is complete to load up. Do NOT miss this step after the payment.

Registration Deadline - 30th October, 2020, 11:59 PM IST
Preliminary Round (Class 11) - 1st November, 2020, 3:00 PM IST
Preliminary Round (Class 12) - 1st November 2020, 5:00 PM IST
Final Round (Classes 11 and 12) - 8th November 2020, 3:00 PM IST

Selection Criteria

 A dynamic combination of Economics, LR, Data Interpretation, and Case     Studies in the form of an MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) Quiz will be the 1st round, to be conducted on 1st November 2020. The students that qualify will be able to participate in the final round, to be held on the 8th of November.

Terms and Conditions
  • Only students of Classes 11 and 12 are eligible to avail of this opportunity. 
  • Besides, NEO follows a structure that also prepares its participants for upcoming Board and Entrance exams, thereby giving them an edge over other students.
