For Individuals:
- Indian citizen residing in India
- Minimum age of 18 years (as on August 31)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in any of the following fields: Child Welfare, Child Development, Child Protection
Note: Salaried officers of the Institutions will not be eligible for consideration under this category.
For Institutions:
- Not an entirely government-funded institute
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of child welfare
- Having had a positive impact on the lives of children
Note: For furnishing any false information, the applicant/person shall be liable for suitable legal action as per law.
Benefits
For Individuals:
The award consists of a cash prize of INR 100,000, a citation and a certificate to each awardee.
For Institutions:
The award for institution consists of a cash prize of INR 500,000 each and a citation and a certificate.
How can you apply?
Procedure to apply for the scholarship:
Step 1: Visit the website and click on 'Apply'.
Step 2: Register on the website. Then authorise the confirmation link sent on the email.
Step 3: Login using username and password.
Step 4: Click on Apply for awards and click on View Categories.
Step 5: Fill up the application form and click Submit.
Step 6: Add Annexures supporting the application and click on Save.
Important Dates
- Final recommendations by the National Selection Committee: 5th December.
- Awards ceremony: The week preceding the Republic Day Week.
Terms and Conditions
- Changes in the nominations in any or all the categories can be made by the committee at its discretion.
- The decisions made by the National Selection Committee will be final.
- The recipients need to personally receive the awards.
- Except in rare cases, the awards shall not be awarded posthumously.
- The award ceremony will be organized by MWCD and other arrangements like boarding, lodging and transportation of awardees shall be done by the MWCD too.
